Project statuses

Every renovation project has a status. It tells you and your team where the project stands, and it's what you see on project cards, in the status filter on the Projects page, and in the Project Status field on a project's Overview tab.

A new project starts out as Planning.

What each status means

Status What it means
Draft You've started setting up the project but haven't moved it into active planning yet.
Planning The default for a new project. You're working out scope, budget, and timeline before renovation work starts.
In Progress Renovation work is underway.
On Hold Work is temporarily paused.
Ready to List The property is renovated and ready to go to market.
Completed The project is finished.
Archived The project is put away. It no longer shows up as an active project, but nothing is deleted.

Setting a project's status

Open a project and go to its Overview tab. Under Progress & Status, the Project Status dropdown lets you set a project to Draft, Planning, In Progress, On Hold, or Completed.

Ready to List and Archived aren't options in that dropdown.

Note

Health Status (On Track, At Risk, Delayed, Blocked) is a separate field next to Project Status on the same tab. It tracks whether the project is running on schedule, not what phase it's in.

Typical progression

Most projects move roughly in this order:

  1. Draft while you're setting things up.
  2. Planning (where a new project starts by default) while you finalize scope and budget.
  3. In Progress once renovation work begins.
  4. On Hold, if needed, any time work is paused, then back to In Progress when it resumes.
  5. Ready to List or Completed once renovation work wraps up. Either one makes the project eligible to be added to your portfolio if it isn't linked to a property yet.
  6. Archived once you're done actively tracking the project.

Where you'll see it

  • As a colored badge on each project's card, in both grid and list view on the Projects page.
  • As a filter on the Projects page, so you can narrow the list to a single status. All seven statuses are available as filter options, including Ready to List and Archived.
  • In the Project Status dropdown on a project's Overview tab.
