Search for properties
Deal Search is where you look for on-market properties: search a city or address, narrow the results down, and save the ones you want to evaluate further.
Open Deal Search¶
- In the sidebar, select Deal Search.
- The page opens on the Search Properties tab. The tab next to it, My Prospects, is where properties you save end up. You don't need it yet; more on that below.
Search a location¶
- In the search bar at the top of the page, start typing a city or a street address into the box (it's labeled "Enter city or address") and choose a match from the suggestions that appear.
- Select Search.

What you should see: a map centered on the area, with a marker for each matching property, and a heading above it, either "N Properties Found" or "Showing X of Y" if the market has more properties than are shown at once. A results table below the map lists the same properties under Deal Search Results.
If nothing matches, the page tells you directly: "No properties found in this area. Try searching for a different location."
Narrow the results¶
Use the controls in the search bar to filter what you searched:
- Price: opens Min Price and Max Price fields.
- Property Type: All Types, Single Family, Multi Family, Condo, Townhouse, or Apartment.
- Rooms: opens Min/Max fields for Bedrooms and Bathrooms.
- Filters: opens a side panel ("Refine your property search") with more specific options: listing source (For Sale, Off Market for recently sold, or Both), a minimum living area, lot size and age, a maximum HOA fee, listing status (foreclosures, new construction, price reduced, open houses, pending/contingent, 55+ community), tour availability, home/lot/community features, a minimum days-on-market, and a search radius. Select Apply to search with these filters, or Clear to reset just this panel.
Once any filter is set, a Clear all link appears next to Search so you can reset the whole search bar at once.
Read the results¶
Each row in the table shows a thumbnail, the address, price, beds, baths, square footage, and days on market (labeled DOM). A property still on the market shows its list price; one that already sold shows its sold price and sale date instead.
Select a property's photo or address (in the table, or its marker on the map) to open its full detail view, with photos, property history, tax history, and environmental factors. Recently listed or price-reduced properties are flagged NEW or REDUCED there. That view is covered in Read a property detail page.
When a search returns more results than fit on one page, use the page numbers, or the "Jump to:" field, below the table to move through them.
Save what you want to keep¶
- On a result you want to hold onto, select Add in the table, or Add to Prospects in a property's detail view or on the map.
- What you should see: the button changes to Added (or Already Added to Prospects), and a confirmation, "Property added to prospects!", appears. The page switches you to the My Prospects tab, where the property now shows up.
Tip
You don't have to search first to save a property. If you already know the address, select + add manually, next to the tabs, to enter it directly.
