Organize properties by entity
Create an LLC or other entity, list its owners, assign properties to it, and group your portfolio by entity.
If you hold properties through LLCs, trusts, or partnerships, record those entities in Re:InvestorHub and assign each property to the one that owns it. Then you can group your portfolio by entity and see value, equity, and cash flow per entity.
Create an entity
Section titled “Create an entity”In the sidebar, select Portfolio, then select Add Entity at the top right. The Add New Entity form opens.
Under Basic Information, enter an Entity Name (required). Choose an Entity Type: LLC, Corporation, Partnership, Sole Proprietorship, Trust, or Other. Optionally add an EIN, Formation Date, and State of Formation.
Under Ownership Structure, enter Owner 1 Name and an Ownership %. Select Add Owner (up to 4) for more. Select the remove button on a row to delete an owner. At least one owner must stay.
A badge next to the heading shows your running total, for example Total: 60.0%. It turns red until the owners add up to exactly 100%, and a message reads Total ownership must equal 100%.
Fill in Registered Agent, Address, Phone, Email, Bank Name, and Account Number (Last 4), plus any Notes.
The button stays disabled until the ownership total is 100%.
You can also create an entity while adding a property: open Owning Entity (LLC, etc.) and choose New Entity. The new entity is selected for that property right away.
Assign a property to an entity
Section titled “Assign a property to an entity”On Portfolio, open the menu on the property’s card and select Edit Property.
Under Ownership, open Owning Entity (LLC, etc.) and choose the entity. Choose No entity assigned to remove it.
Save your changes.
Group your portfolio by entity
Section titled “Group your portfolio by entity”Select the Group by Entity button, next to the grid and list buttons. Each entity gets a header with its number of Properties and Units, plus its total Value, Equity, and Cash Flow. Select a header to expand or collapse it. Properties with no entity appear under No Entity Assigned.
Delete an entity
Section titled “Delete an entity”To delete an entity, hover over its header in the grouped view and select the trash icon (Delete entity). You can also remove an entity from the Owning Entity (LLC, etc.) list while editing a property.
